I am 28 years old and currently living in the SF Bay Area. I grew up in Brockton, MA and was indeed that girl that played all the sports (I would like to thank my brothers and male cousins for making me into the tough girl I am today haha!). My middle school and high school days consisted of basketball, softball, track, cross country, and football (when I forced the guys to let me play). Life changed when I got to Boston College – I was introduced to the best sport of eternity (in my  humble opinion) – RUGBY! I loved every  second of it – the intensity, tackling, whooping ass…you know, the whole shabang.

And then the real world happened.

After college I started working in the financial industry, a career that was very demanding of my time. Although I did have a gym membership, I was that “member” who barely used it. By the time I got out of work – it was either closed or I was just too tired to go out of my way to go to the gym. Now that wasn’t going to fly, so I found a solution.

Working out at home or a local park, finding random online fitness activity deals, and cooking healthy meals allowed me to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Who needs a treadmill when there is outdoor pavement? Who needs weights when I have heavy detergent at home?

My friends and colleagues often ask me about my workout routines and gym regimen. I have maintained a “fit” physique, but the truth is – it has nothing to do with the gym. I had a membership, but only went a couple of times a month because I do most of my workouts at home. I like to get creative. I have spent the last year or so sharing my workouts, meals (I love to cook), etc. with friends.

And then a light bulb went off.

Why not share this creativity with a larger audience? Oh wait – that’s what social media is for, huh? Cool.

I will provide motivation, inspiration, and ideas on how to include exercise, fitness, and health in your busy day. If I do my job right, you’ll wake up every day a little better than you were yesterday – eat a little healthier, get a little stronger, run a little faster, and feel a little better about yourself!
